Build your foundations, win the fight
Lifelong Athlete
I've been competing my whole life. Collegiate rowing, then martial arts at 23 and once I found it, that was it. Seventeen years deep and I'm still learning, still grinding, still showing up.
My focus is striking (boxing and kickboxing) and I've put in real work to understand it. I've trained in gyms across this country. New York. New Jersey. California. New Orleans. Now Texas. I've been in the room with UFC fighters, absorbed everything I could, and brought it back to the floor. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just honest, hard-won knowledge built over years of getting hit and figuring out why.
Eight years ago I started coaching, and it's the most meaningful work I've done. I know what it's like to be the new person. To stand outside a gym door and talk yourself out of going in. I did it too. But I walked in anyway and it changed everything for me.
That's what Pressure is about. This isn't a place to dabble. It's a place to commit. To show up when it's inconvenient, to push past the voice that tells you to quit, and to find out what you're actually made of.
10+ years in boxing & kickboxing
Ten years in boxing and kickboxing, with most of that time spent working closely with beginners. People walking into a gym for the first time, or coming back to fitness after years away. My own background runs through collegiate athletics into MMA, training alongside and learning from fighters like Lyman Good, Andrew Craig, Louis Gaudinot, and Jimmy Rivera. That mix, competitive combat sports experience paired with a real focus on people just starting out, is what I bring to every session at Pressure.
Building you from ground up
My focus is building people from the ground up. Before anyone worries about power or speed, we get the fundamentals right: stance, footwork, guard, breathing, so everything after that has something solid to stand on. I'm less interested in making someone look good for one class and more interested in making sure the habits and mechanics they build actually hold up six months, a year, five years down the line.
Find your Calm
I coach the way I was taught to compete calm, direct, no wasted motion and to always step on the mat with humility, not just with yourself but with others. Pressure isn't something to avoid in the gym, it's the whole point; that's where the growth actually happens. I keep sessions honest and straightforward, push when it's useful, and hold back when it's not. No ego, just steady work, one round at a time, one technique at a time.
Our clients love
Devin

Rafael
What stands out most is that Devin sees more in people than they may see in themselves. He coaches all skill levels with heart, patience, consistency, and genuine belief. At the same time, he remains willing to learn and improve himself. That humility matters.

Navin Seebaran
He incorporates strength training with clear instructions that I can do at home, which is great because I'm not much of a gym-goer. He is very understanding and has great words of motivation and encouragement as needed. I've enjoyed working with Devin and highly recommend him!
